We're bringing you all things WTW, whether its behind the scenes with our creative director, Kailey, or giving you the best insight into what it takes to plan a wedding.
So being that this is the very first blog post, it felt fitting to explain the question we get asked more than anything! "Why do I need a wedding planner?"
Our best answer is simply because having a planner ensures you have someone on your team helping you create your perfect day! Having a wedding planner and coordinator means more time with the people who came to celebrate you. More time dancing than trying to corral everyone together for a bouquet toss. More time celebrating than trying to make sure every detail is perfect before everyone else sees it. A wedding is all about the couple coming together and celebrating the choice to spend the rest of their lives together with the people that mean the most to them.
The following are 5 Major Reasons you should hire a wedding planner and coordinator.
1. Planners can help with your budget constraints and legal contracts.
Depending on your level of involvement with the planner you hire, a HUGE benefit is someone helping keep the budget on track. Between vendors and venues legal contracts can be troublesome and tricky to read through having a wedding planner with preferred vendors can help steer you in the right path for what you are looking for.
2. Planners are fiercely committed to your wedding vision and will keep everything on track.
Having multiple vendors to communicate with to make your dreams into a reality is another reason to hire a wedding planner or coordinator. Vendors can often work multiple weddings a weekend or day, a wedding planner usually has a couple weddings they are fiercely committed too.
3. Planners keep everything stress free.
Theres nothing worse than throwing a party and having to clean as you go and pack your items up after! This is true for weddings as well. The set-up and pack up can be the most useful and beneficial times for a planner to be there to alleviate the stress of setting everything up, before the ceremony.
4. Planners can handle ceremony and reception flip.
This is crucial if you are in a space that is going to use structural or decor elements in two separate rooms. Being able to spend cocktail hour making sure the flip is happening, guests are enjoying their time, and the photographer is getting shots of the couple and family members is a major benefit of having a coordinator and planner.
5. Planners will help you coordinate the ENTIRE day not just an aspect of it.
Having your entire wedding day planned down to the minute is a planner and coordinators main responsibility. Even if your venue offers on site coordination they may not be focused on helping you juggle all the little details that will make your special day so special. And juggling details is the last thing you and your fiancé want to worry about on your wedding day!
